The Middle Church Sunday School is a long-established training ground for children.   Most Church members can recall their early childhood introduction to the Church through the Sunday School and have many happy memories of these times. Our Sunday School has always been very well served by teachers willing to give time and talent to teach the young and the present group of teachers are no exception. Children from birth to Primary 7 are most welcome to come to share and enjoy the activities provided.

The Sunday School meets at the same time as the Church service. which enables families to come together to Church on a Sunday morning and, both parents and children can participate in their own separate ways to worship and enjoy the fellowship our Church has to offer.

The new session will commence on Sunday 5th.  September, 2021.

Our Girls' Brigade Company, formed in 1947 is celebrating 75 years of success next year and still going strong as a force in Middle Church and in Monklands Division of The Girls’ Brigade. As a congregation, we extend our thanks for the many years of service given to the youth of our church and the wider local community.  It is to the credit of the Officers of our Company for their dedicated leadership that we have such a flourishing organisation in our church.

The G.B. Programme is divided into 4 parts: Physical, Spiritual, Educational and Service and this offers a wide variety of subjects for the girls to enjoy.

The Company is divided into 3 Sections by age groups which are linked to school classes:

EXPLORERS: Primary 1, 2, 3.

JUNIORS: Primary 4, 5, 6, 7.

The Company has played a big part in Middle Church over the last 79 years and given great service in many ways. Many of our church Office-bearers over the years have come through the ranks of our B.B.

The B.B. today continues to offer a wide range of activities and interests to boys from the age of 5 years to 18 years.

The Anchor Boy Section (P1-P3) introduces the younger boys to teamwork and simple tasks while the Junior Section Programme (for P4-P6) is divided into 5 parts - namely Body, Mind, Spirit, Community and Creativity – and gives the boys a further challenge as they progress through the Sections.

The Company Section (P7-S6) utilize the Discover Programme as the boys work towards their President’s Badge, after which they are encouraged to aim for the Queen’s Badge, the highest award in The Boys’ Brigade, and also the DOE Award Scheme.

All boys who are not already members are invited to come along and join us.
